Biography
Dr. Anne-Sophie Martin is a research assistant in international law at Sapienza University of Rome. She is a Lecturer in space law at the Centre for High Defence Study (CASD – Rome, Italy). She holds a LL.M. in space and telecommunications law from Paris-Saclay University (France) and a Ph.D. in international law and space law from Sapienza University of Rome (Italy). She is a member of the Legal Council of For All Moonkind and Senior Fellow at its Institute on Space Law and Ethics. She is affiliated with the International Astronomical
Union’s Centre for the Protection of Dark and Quiet Skies. Since 2021, she has been a member of the Global Expert Group on Sustainable Lunar Activities (GEGSLA), where she serves as Co-Chair of Working Group 1 on Lunar environment protection. Since 2024, she has served as the French Co-Chair of the AI and Space Law Society. Since 2026, she has also been involved in “FOGOS: Futures-Oriented Governance of Outer Space”, a European research network.
